Reading into History @ Home: “Show Me A Sign”
Join us online! | Sunday, April 11 | 2-3 pm

Free; Ages 9-12

Celebrate National Deaf History Month and join us to discuss Show Me a Sign by Ann Clare LeZotte, a novel about a young girl living in 19th-century Martha’s Vineyard and the fascinating history of the island’s Deaf community. LeZotte weaves threads of adventure, family tragedy, community, racism, and hearing people’s negative assumptions about Deaf people into a beautiful and complex whole. Share reactions to the book and explore historical objects and documents that bring the book to life. This program will be ASL interpreted.
